Bath time with your little one can be lots of fun, seeing your baby or toddlers little face light up as they splash around with their bath toys in all the bubbles never get old.

What isn’t as much fun however is the clean up afterwards, all those sopping wet toys laying at the bottom of the bath needing to dry off and be put away somewhere is never a fun job.

This is why we decided to look into the best bath toy storage solutions available. This will hopefully make your bath seem more like a relaxing oasis and less like a child’s play centre.

Although this is our number one recommendation, it is not going to be the right solution for everyone.

Some may not have the space for a floor standing solution, others may need an over the bath solution.

Based on our research here is a breakdown of the best options available to store your little one’s favourite bathtime toys.

Munchkin Super Scoop Bath Toy Organiser

image of the Munchkin Super Scoop Bath Toy Organiser with a breakdown of features and benefits

The Super Scoop Organiser is a fantastic solution for storing all your kid’s bath toys. The push-lock suction cups secure the storage bin to the wall securely.

The large opening at the top allows you to skim the water collecting up all the bath toys at the end of your child’s bath quickly.

The mesh fabric holding the toys allow for air to pass through the toys making the drying process quick and easy with any excess water simply falling back into the bath.

What We Liked:
  • How the mesh bag allows for the air to circulate and dry the bath toys quickly and effectively.
  • The neutral colour allows it to fit with any bathroom.
  • How easy it detaches from the wall allowing you to quickly clean up the toys after their bath.
  • Any bubbles on the toys can be easily washed away under a tap or shower and any excess water will fall back into the bath once it is hanging back on the wall.
  • Has great suction power when attached to glass.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • The suction pads don’t adhere as well to tile, especially porous ones.
  • It’s a little smaller than expected, so if you have lots of toys you may want to consider something bigger.
  • The opening is a bit small so if you have larger toys they won’t  easily be collected up when skimming the bath.

Munchkin Quack Bath Toy Caddy

The Munchkin Quack Bath Toy Caddy is pretty unique in the market as it’s one of the very few over the bath options specifically designed for a child’s bath toys.

The caddy extends so will fit most baths. Comes complete with a couple of dividers allowing you to keep toys separated from each other.

Drain holes allow excess water to drain off into the bath quickly and the air to circulate to dry fast.

The caddy can also act as a divider to stop your little one from getting close to the taps and prevents them from burning or bumping themselves.

What We Liked:
  • Quality materials that are easily clipped together to build the caddy.
  • Top shelf dishwasher safe to make cleaning it a breeze.
  • The large drain and air holes allow the toys to dry out quickly over the bath.
  • Protects the child from the taps to stop burns and bumps.
  • Extends up to 79cm max and down to 50cm.
  • Stores more toys than we initially thought.
  • Doesn’t need to be stuck to the wall with suction cups that fail all the time.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • The only negative I have is that there are no suction cups to stop the caddy from moving up and down the bath.
  • It’s very light and as it has no suction cups to hold it in place when my toddler pulled on it to get up, it moved which is a bit of a concern.

Ubbi Freestanding Bath Toy Organiser

Ubbi’s freestanding bath toy organiser with its removable scoop and drying rack was our favourite.

At the end of your child’s bath, the detachable scoop allows you to quickly gather the bath toys up and place them in the drying rack bin. The large draining holes in the bottom of the bin allow for a quick drying time.

Its modern design looks great in any bathroom and its size allows for a good collection of bathtime toys that will always be ready when you are.

What We Liked:
  • Quality design and materials. The unit is well moulded and fits together perfectly.
  • Is a good size – Dimensions are 17cm x 24cm and is 27cm tall.
  • Can be placed into the dishwasher for a thorough clean.
  • Less likely than the net storage bags to build up any mould.
  • The drainage feature is such a huge plus as the toys don’t stay wet in the bottom.
  • The unit is freestanding and not dependant on those suction pads that always fail.
  • Available in 2 colours blue and grey.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • This isn’t a budget option.
  • For the price i expected it to be bigger.

Scarlet Gem Kids Bath Toy Tidy

image of the Scarlet Gem Kids Bath Toy Tidy with a breakdown of features and benefits

The Scarlet Gem Kids Bath Toy Tidy is a great little multifunctional storage solution.

As well as a storage net capable of storing all your kid’s bath toys, a second storage bag has a place to store all their toiletries too.

These net bags allow for good airflow so toys can dry out quickly and reduce the risk of going mouldy.

What We Liked:
  • Large net bags that hold a lot of toys and toiletries
  • Suction cups held up well
  • Being attached to the wall above the bath any excess water runs out the bottom of the net and into the bathtub.
  • The company offer a no questions money-back guarantee if you are not 100% happy.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • The suction cups stuck well, but you need to follow the instructions. If you don’t they won’t stick well.
  • I can see the suction cups being a point of failure with the plastic construction.
  • As with all hanging nets that use suction to adhere to the wall, they stick better to a glass shower screen than they ever will to a tile or a painted wall.

Tippi Child’s Bath Toy Storage Tidy

image of the Tippi Child's Bath Toy Storage Tidy with a breakdown of features and benefits

The Tippi Bath Toy Storage Tidy comes with a heavy-duty draining net and scoop that lifts off for scooping up the toys from the bath.

This bath toy storage solution comes complete with a range of cool bath tools including boats and fish perfect sized for the toy tidy.

The Tippi Tidy has a unique feature in that it has a zipper at the bottom of the net. This allows easy access to the toys by your child who can simply unzip the bag and empty them into the bath.

What We Liked:
  • Quality solid toys included. No hollows within the toys for the water to collect and go mouldy.
  • A good-sized solution measures H37cm x W29cm x D21cm.
  • Has 3 suction cups to keep the unit attached to the wall.
  • The zip at the bottom makes it quick and easy access to toys.
  • Any excess water from collecting the toys simply drains off into the tub.
  • Has a hanging hook as an alternative way of attaching this to the wall.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • Suction cups are a point of failure.
  • Sticks much better to a glass surface such as a shower screen rather than tiles.

Wemk Baby Bath Toy Organiser Bag

image of the Wemk Baby Bath Toy Organiser Bag with a breakdown of features and benefits

The Wemk Bath Toy Bag doesn’t use suckers to attach to the wall. They use waterproof self-adhesive hooks that will not easily fall off.

With its smart pockets, you can easily add toiletries or separate your little one’s favourite toy from the rest so you’re not hunting for it during those quick bath nights.

The storage bag is made of a breathable mesh that dries quickly and is mould resistant.

What We Liked:
  • They use strong adhesive hooks, but if you peel them off they don’t leave a residue.
  • No suction cups that fail so often.
  • Easy to unhook from the hanging hooks so the bag can be washed off in the bath.
  • Comes with a spare adhesive clip.
  • Separate pockets for toiletries or favourite bathtime toy.
  • The large lower pocket: 27.5cm x 32.5cm and the 3 smaller pockets are 13cm x 10cm.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • They stick on the wall well, but the plastic bracket which holds the metal hook on appears to be a point of failure and some users have reported these break. (I guess that’s part of the reason for the spare one included).

TOMY Boon Frog Pod Bath Toy Storage Organiser

image of the TOMY Boon Frog Pod Bath Toy Storage Organiser with a breakdown of features and benefits

The TOMY Boon Frog bath toy organiser is a fun and novelty bath toy scoop and storage caddy.

The frog design will store and collect your little one’s favourite toys once bathtime has finished.

The large air holes make it easy to wash off the toys under a tap, or a showerhead. The same air holes allow for a quick and effective air dry of the bath toys.

What We Liked:
  • Fun design – Children love the look of it.
  • Great gift idea.
  • Easy to clean – Just clean the base and scoop with warm water and mild soap.
  • Has pleanty of air holes allowing the toys to dry quickly and any excess water drips into the bath.
  • Holds a good amount of toys.
What We Didn’t Like:
  • A common issue is that the suction cups attaching the frog to the wall fail.
  • Not an inexpensive option.

Picking The Right Bath Toy Storage For You

When choosing the best bath toy storage solution for yourself, there are a few simple things you need to consider. These things will help you choose the right storage option for you, based on your specific needs and requirements.

Drainage and Airflow?

Bath toys get wet. For them to remain clean and safe for your child, they need to dry. To do this any excess water needs to drain away either back into the bath or a drying bin.

The toy organisers then need good airflow which will allow the toys to dry quickly and thoroughly and reduce the chances of mould developing.

Space?

Not everyone has a bathroom big enough to accommodate a large freestanding bath caddy, I know we don’t. Many of us don’t have masses of space in our bathrooms, so where space is at a premium a hanging toy organiser may be the best option.

That being said, a suction cup hanging option for me personally would be the last resort, as they fail so often.

Capacity?

Most of these organisers have pretty good capacity, but for some of you with toddlers and babies, you may need more than just one of these.

Maybe a freestanding option could be moved out of the bathroom into the child’s room once they have started to dry out and brought in at bath times.

F.A.Q’s

Conclusion

Bath time should be fun and should be full of water squirting and proper belly giggles. These years will go by so quickly, but a bathroom should be a space for you to relax in too.

It’s easy to stop your bathroom from becoming yet another play den with one of the above bath toy storage solutions. There is something for everyone when it comes to quality, affordability and design.

And remember when choosing any bath toy storage organiser airflow and drainage are key.
